Friday night lights are among us again, as Mater Dei host El Capitan on August 23 at 7 p.m.
Both teams are competing for their first win of the season, to start off on the right foot.
The last time the Crusaders and Vaqueros met face to face on the field was in the 2018 season. It was a neck to neck game, but the Crusaders had managed to win, 37-35.
The Crusaders are predicted to utilize wide receiver Jacob Cannon. Cannon being able to play both sides of the ball will also be an advantage for Mater Dei.
The Vaqueros are coming into Friday’s game with their top returning quarterback, Wick Hauser. Hauser has been starting quarterback for El Capitan all of his high school career, so his experience will be a plus for his team.
