Week 10 East County Game of the Week: West Hills Wolf Pack 28, Mount Miguel Matadors 27

It was homecoming Friday night at Mt. Miguel as they hosted the West Hills Wolf Pack in the East County Game of the Week and Josie Contreras and Charlie Ray were named the homecoming King and Queen.

We pick this game up in the third quarter, when Braden Oberg does a fake and then passes it to Kip Klingerman who makes the catch and goes off to the races for the score and West Hills leads 21-7.

West Hills with the ball again but it is the Matadors Joseph Castillo who would swoop in for the interception and take it all the way back to bring Mt. Miguel within one touchdown.

But the Wolf Pack answers right back, here is Gerardo Hernandez with the lateral to Brendan Greene, who throws it out to Steven Cristini for the score and it is 28-14 West Hills.

Now we take this one to the end of the 4th with the Matadors within one touchdown and here is JD Laverdiere with the pass to Jahiem Allen-Pompey who scoots on in for the score.

That is where it comes down to the extra point where they decide to go for two, but the ball is fumbled on the snap.

Mt. Miguel loses the heartbreaker, the final 28-27 West Hills.
