Week 10: Torrey Pines Falcons 71, Oceanside Pirates 41
What a game. There was definitely not a shortage of points as the No. 1 ranked team in San Diego, Torrey Pines, put up 71 points against Oceanside.
Now don’t put Oceanside down, as they put up 41 points against the top ranked Falcons.
In the first quarter, the first points came from Torrey Pines’ stud running back Mac Bingham, as he took in the game’s first touchdown from four yards out.
Oceanside came right back as Kyrin Beachem found Dylan York for a 71-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 7-all.
After that, it was all Torrey Pines, as they racked up 50 points courtesy of Bingham. In the first half, Bingham had 15 carries for 175 and five touchdowns.
In the second half, the Pirates came out with fire as they scored back to back to back scores via a 1-yard touchdown run from Kavika Tua, a 50-yard touchdown from Beachem to Tua, and a crazy Silas Pao Pao to Beachem to York touchdown.
This made the game 50-33 as we could see a possible come back from the Pirates.
The Falcons had other plans as they slowly wore down the Oceanside defense via Bingham who had a career night. Bingham had eight rushing touchdowns, which tied the San Diego Section record.
The top-ranked Falcons will take their undefeated record against another ranked team, La Costa Canyon at LCC.
The Oceanside Pirates have a rivalry game against the El Camino Wildcats as this is the last game of the season before playoffs.

Preview
After last Friday’s bizarre weather that called or postponed games around the county, we are back with a new slate of games with clear weather in the forecast. This week we have an Avocado League battle between the top-ranked undefeated Torrey Pines Falcons (7-0) traveling to Oceanside (4-4) to take on the Pirates.
The undefeated Falcons are coming into this game after a no contest game last week against San Marcos as Lightning and rain poured over San Diego County. The coaches of the two teams decided on no contest so that it didn’t affect them in the league standings.
The red-hot Falcons are thankful for the no contest as San Marcos had the slim lead heading into half 10-7 before the game was called.
Quarterback Jack Heine and running back Mac Bingham did look good as they racked up 51 yards on five plays to set up the opening touchdown before San Marcos bounced back with a touchdown and field goal to give them the lead going into the half. The Falcons will try to keep the undefeated season alive as they are away from home against an always scary Oceanside team.
The Oceanside Pirates enter this game coming off a 28-7 win against Rancho Buena Vista after the game was called with eight minutes left in the second quarter. The Pirates looked impressive as they earned a first down on 16 of their 20 plays.
The Pirates’ stud running back Kavika Tua had two rushing touchdowns and quarterback Kyrin Beachem had another as it seemed the Pirates were rolling away with the win before the lightning struck. The Pirates have a tough battle ahead of them against the undefeated Falcons but never underestimate the Pirates as they have weapons that could easily beat you.
You can expect to see heavy doses of Heine, Bingham for the Falcons and Beachem, Tua for the Pirates when they take on each other Friday night. For highlights, tune into the Prep Pigskin Report on KUSI, Friday at 11 p.m. To get live updates throughout the game follow us on Twitter @RedJacketArmy.
