Week 11: San Pasqual Golden Eagles 48, Escondido Cougars 7

On their Senior Night, the Escondido Cougars hosted the San Pasqual Golden Eagles for a final matchup of the 2019 regular season.

The Escondido Cougars are first to score on the opening drive of the night. On 4th and goal Matt Malone scores a 1-yard touchdown run.

Mark Santar ties us up in the first when he scores a 3-yard touchdown run for the Golden Eagles. That would be the last time the scoreboard saw a tie as the Cougars struggled to score after the first quarter.

Mark Santar would score again on a 3-yard touchdown run taking the Eagles up 13-7 with a missed extra point. Then with 54 seconds left before halftime, Trevor Jungman would connect with Kody Ketcham for a 22-yard touchdown pass.

In the third, Jungman would find Paco Corona in stride for a 20-yard run into the end zone. Then with Escondido on San Pasqual’s 22-yard line, San Pasqual’s defensive back James Debora would intercept the ball. After the turnover on downs, the bulldozer that is Mark Santar would score his third touchdown of the night making it a 4 score game.

Fourth quarter. Jungman to Ketcham would connect again for a 25-yard touchdown pass and to finish the game with three minutes left on the clock, Elijah Kraemer would score taking the Eagles up 41-7 over the Cougars.

The San Pasqual Golden Eagles finish the regular season with a 9-1 record, and the Escondido Cougars with a 5-6 record.
