Week 12 Alarm Clock Pep Rally Game of the Week: Santana Sultans 76, La Jolla Country Day Torreys 55

Santana and La Jolla Country Day faced off for the first time since the 2016 Division IV championship game when the Torreys upset the Sultans. The final score in this one looked more like an NBA score than one of a high school football game. A game that lasted 3 hours and 28 minutes start to finish.

Both teams put up a good fight and this one was a night of record setting. The final score in this one was 76-55, the points combined is the most points in an 11-man football game in CIF history.

Santana had a record night for themselves as well scoring the most points for themselves in school history. They scored 76 points and previously the record was 70 points.

Also, Randy Smith had 6 receiving touchdowns breaking the school record.

Lastly, Quarterback Nathan Temple had 532 passing yards breaking the school record and surpassing D.J. Busch on top of his 7 touchdown passes.

It was a game for the record books, but Santana came out victorious and they will head to the Division IV quarterfinals against Mar Vista next week.
