Week 13: Francis Parker 44, Crawford 20

The second round of playoffs takes the Prep Pigskin Report to Francis Parker, as the No. 4-seeded Francis Parker Lancers hosted the No. 5-seeded Crawford Colts in Friday night’s Division V game. After these two battled it out, Francis Parker notched a 44-20 playoff win under their belt and advanced to the division semifinals.

In the first quarter, Trevor Brokowski puts up a 2-yard touchdown run, giving the Lancers the first score of the night, 6-0.

Again in the first, Crawford’s Hamadi Sharif responded with a slick 7-yard touchdown run. Sharif made it 7-6, Crawford.

Then, Francis Parker’s Chris Williams made his mark, as there was no stopping Williams on his 80-yard kickoff return touchdown. He increased Francis Parker’s lead to 13-7.

Crawford’s Abdi Ali sped down the field for the 52-yard touchdown. Ali tied the game up at 13-all.

In the second quarter, Crawford drove it down the field and attempted a 31-yard field goal, but the kick was deflected.

Francis Parker’s Chris White was on the alert and caught the tipped ball. He took it back 85 yards for a Francis Parker touchdown. White maintained Francis Parker’s lead, 20-13.

Each team had some notable plays and both left it all out on the field.

Trevor Brokowski capped off the night with his 18-yard touchdown, giving the Lancers the 44-20 win over the Colts.

Francis Parker will go up against Vincent Memorial in the Division V semifinals next Friday night.
