Week 3: San Pasqual Fighting Eagles 6, Westview Wolverines 0

We wrap up Week 3 of the 2019 season of the Prep Pigskin Report with a defensive battle out of the North County as the San Pasqual Fighting Eagles took down the Westview Wolverines, 6-0.

The Fighting Eagles improved to 3-0 on the season and Westview falls to 1-2.

This matchup was scoreless entering the fourth quarter, but a late drive led by quarterback Trevor Jungman and running back Mark Santar gets the Fighting Eagles on the board. The PAT was no good, but San Pasqual made the huge stop on defense to keep the game at 6-0.

Next week, San Pasqual will take on Torrey Pines Falcons, who took down Olympian this week, 10-7.

Last year, the Falcons beat San Pasqual 35-0 in a home game, but this year they will be on the road against the Fighting Eagles.

For the Wolverines, they get Granite Hills, which is coming off a 39-29 loss to Madison.

The PPR will be back in Week 4 with a full slate of games, make sure to tune in at 11 p.m.

PREVIEW: Welcome to Week 3 of the Prep Pigskin Report, as we have more than 20 games on the slate, with one matchup in particular in which our eyes are set. The San Pasqual Fighting Eagles (2-0) head to Westview (1-1) to take on the Wolverines.

The Fighting Eagles are entering this matchup undefeated and they have a lot of confidence as they took down the Wolverines 20-0 last year. San Pasqual is also coming off of a huge 35-31 win over the Rancho Bernardo Broncos just last week.

After a big 21-0 win over Rancho Buena Vista in Week 1 for the Wolverines, they dropped their Week 2 match up with the Oceanside Pirates, 26-6. In a very competitive Palomar league, a win over San Pasqual would be a massive confidence booster for the Wolverines before they head into league play.

This week’s game will be played at 7 p.m. at Westview High School and the highlights will air at 11 p.m. on the Prep Pigskin Report. Please be sure to tune in to KUSI for the PrePR at 4:45 p.m., as well as, 5 & 6 p.m.

Lastly, don’t forget about the 1st & 15 which highlights the State Farm Game of the Week, which airs at 10:45 p.m on Friday nights right before the main course of the Prep Pigskin Report.
