Week 4: Palos Verdes Sea Kings 22, Madison Warhawks 6
The Madison Warhawks (2-2) have evened up their record after a tough loss to the visiting Sea Kings from Palos Verdes (3-1), 22-6.
The Sea Kings were off to a hot start, scoring on their first possession of the game, which was a quarterback keeper by Ryan Wilson from 18 yards out.
Moving into the second quarter, Julian Alessi returns a punt from 35 yards out advancing their lead, 13-0.
Getting the ball back shortly after, Palos Verdes’ Dominic Ciolino ran the ball up the middle, breaking tackles, and taking it to the house. The Sea Kings were up 20-0.
Fired up and ready to get the ball to the end zone, the Warhawks answered back with Herman Smith, running 77 yards, and Madison got on the board, 20-6.
Early in the fourth, Palos Verdes punted the ball, pushing the Warhawks to their 1-yard line.
On the first play of the possession, Ke’ontae Springs was sacked in the end zone by Palos Verdes’ Caleb Gutierrez for a safety.
The Warhawks are looking to improve their record as they travel south to El Cajon, taking on the Grossmont Foothillers, who are undefeated this season at 3-0.

It’s Week 4 of the Prep Pigskin Report and the Madison Warhawks (2-1) will be hosting out-of-town visitors, the Sea Kings from Palos Verdes (2-1).
Coached by Rick Jackson, the Madison Warhawks are coming off a big win in last week’s contest after beating Granite Hills, 39-29, at home.
Madison’s defense had a stellar game intercepting two passes that turned into touchdowns.
One player, in particular, the Sea Kings will want to keep an eye on is Ke’ontae Springs, who can pass the ball just as well as he can run the ball, which is probably why he is on our 2019 PPR Top Seniors list.
The Sea Kings will be visiting from Los Angeles and are coached by Guy Gardner, but it isn’t their first visit to playing a San Diego team, in week 1 they took down Mission Hills 28-15.
Seniors Jake Wilson and Julian Alessi will be prime targets for Madison’s strong defense, which have a combined total of 256 yards for two games they’ve played in this season.
