Week 4: San Diego Cavers 56, Orange Glen Patriots 43
In this Week 4 North County matchup between the San Diego Cavers and Orange Glen Patriots, we had a high-scoring showdown.
This one started off quick as the first play of the game would be a 43-yard bomb from Dajon Meshack to Curtis Rodgers, which would set them up for a 4-yard Mo Jackson touchdown run.
Orange Glen would waste no time evening things out as Cael Patterson would find the end zone for his first of six total touchdowns on the night.
Soon momentum would shift in the first quarter as San Diego Caver Ezikiel Paredes would take an interception 20 yards back to the house to put them up, 14-6.
After that, it would be all San Diego until the third quarter, as the Cavers would make the score 35-14.
Midway through the third quarter, Patterson would find the end zone two more times, inching the Patriots closer by two possessions.
With five minutes left in the fourth quarter, Patriot quarterback Ethan Villalobos would find Patterson for a 50-yard catch and run to the end zone.
San Diego would get the ball back and made sure the Patriots’ momentum brewed no further as they would run the clock out to remain undefeated on the season and are now on a 15-game winning streak.

In this week’s North County matchup, the San Diego Cavers will travel to Orange Glen to take on the Patriots. San Diego comes into this one 2-0 as the Patriots come in at 1-1.
Caver running back Mo Jackson has been on fire, as he averages 199 yards per game through the first two games of the season but Orange Glens 2,400-yard rusher in 2018 is back for more during his senior campaign.
Also, Patriot quarterback Ethan Villalobos has torched his past two opponents, averaging 288 passing yards per game.
The Patriots have been a tough-tackling team but the Cavers have put up over 40 points per game, so the defense will be a major key in this one.
Ranked No. 80 in the state of California, the Cavers have been on a 14-game winning streak dating back to the 2018 season and have no intention on looking back.
Orange Glen has seven players in their defensive front that have returned from 2018, so chemistry is strong.
