Preview: Friday night, it is a battle of the Spartans and the Patriots at Christian’s home field at Granite Hills High as Christian welcomes in Central from El Centro.

Christian coming off of a pretty dominating victory of Monte Vista on the road last week, 43-6.

That win came off of a tough loss facing one of the highest-ranked football teams in Alaska. But, the Patriots are coming into their own under head coach Matt Oliver as they look to continue their success against a historically strong Central team.

Some players to look out for on this team include Nate Stine, who had three touchdowns last week against Monte Vista, as well as, Christian Salacup, who also had a pair of his own.

As far as Central is concerned, the Spartans are coming off of a 12-1 season last year with a 5-0 league record and are continuing their success so far as they are 3-1 under head coach David Pena.

Central fell to Morse in the Division III Championship last year, so the Spartans are ready to continue a strong 2019 season as they take the drive out west to face the Patriots.

This game will start at 7 on Friday night.
