Week 5: El Camino Wildcats 32, Torrey Pines 25
Week 5 at El Camino Feautured a great North County matchup, as the El Camino Wildcats advance to 2-2 on the season after beating the 3-1 Torrey Pines Falcons.
The first score of the game came within minutes of the 1st quarter as Joey Armentrout found Wide Reciever Jordan Wilkins for a 15 yard Touchdown pass to start the game. Things would slow down a bit until midway through the 2nd quarter as Torrey Pines Cael Helfrich would bulldoze his was into the endzone making the game 7-6 as Torrey Pines would miss the extra point attempt.
Jumping to the 3rd quarter, after being up 19-14 the El Camino Wildcats would look to widen they’re margin when Defensive Back Jacob Gathright would intercept Torrey Pines and take it all the way for a 52 yard Pick-6 making this game 26-14.
Fast forward to the 4th quarter, Torrey Pines would attempt to spark a comeback as Fullback Matt Lauter would find his way in the endzone on a 20 yard rush making this 10 point game.
Torrey Pines would not go down without a fight as El Camino wins this one 32-25.

Preview: In this Week 5 matchup we’re headed up to El Camino as the Torrey Pines Falcons take on the El Camino Wildcats.
The Wildcats come into this one hungry at 1-2 but Torrey Pines looks to keep the ball rolling as they come into this game 3-1 on the season.
Ranked no. 57 in the state of California and no. 7 in San diego Torrey Pines has been impressive thus far as they’ve averaged 198 yards rushing through the first 4 games of the season.
On the other side of the ball, ranked no. 234 in the state of California and no. 25 in San Diego, El Camino has put up the numbers to test every opponent despite the record difference.
El Camino has also averaged 4 more points per game this season so the Falcons rush attack will have to stay true to they’re success.
Torrey Pine’s Junior Linebacker Marco Notarinni looks to close in on 100 tackles in his highschool career as he enters this game with 98 Total tackles.
