Week 5 Pigskin Idol Game of the Week: Castle Park Trojans 70, Hoover Cardinals 19

The Castle Park Trojans came out on top against the Hoover Cardinals in this week’s Pigskin Idol Game of the Week, 70-19.

The Trojans really know how to start off a game. In the first few minutes, Xavier Alvarado exploded with an 80-yard punt return touchdown, making it 7-0.

Later in the first, Castle Park’s Erik Hernandez had a quick 3-yard touchdown run, upping the Trojan lead to 14-0. That would be the first of three of his touchdowns of the night!

Later in the third, the Cardinals made an earnest attempt to get some points but it was a little, too late. After a few scores from Hoover, it was 56-13 in the the third.

The Trojans dominated throughout the game.

Castle Park’s offense is something to be on the lookout for the rest of this season.

Touchdown after touchdown, the Trojans capped the night at 70-19.

With another win under Castle Park’s belt, the Trojans maintain their winning streak at 5-0.

Hoover now drops to 0-4.

Something was obviously clicking on the field for Castle Park. There truly was no stopping such a well-rounded team like the Trojans.

The Hoover Cardinals (0-3) will be traveling to face Castle Park (4-0) on the Trojans’ home turf this Friday night at 7 in our Week 5 Pigskin Idol Game of the Week.

Castle Park has a four-week winning streak and is looking to maintain that streak.

Castle Park’s Erik Hernandez, who plays on both sides of the ball, has been finding success this season.

Hernandez has played a crucial role when it comes to getting the Trojans on the board. Hernandez has scored eight touchdowns this season. This junior has really made an impact this season, racking up a total of 459 rushing yards.

Castle Park’s offense will most definitely be something to keep an eye on this Friday night.

In addition to Hernandez, the Trojans have another running back, Chris Wright. Wright does not disappoint when the ball is in his hands.

Wright has attained four touchdowns and clearly has no problem running down the field. He has rushed a total of 329 yards and will be looking to make something happen this week.

The Cardinals will be looking to get a win in the books. After coming off a tough loss, 49-6, against Francis Parker, it just might be the motivation they need to come ready to play this week.
