Week 6 City Game of the Week: The Bishop’s School Knights 53, Francis Parker Lancers 13

As Week 6 comes to a close, the Bishop’s Knights stay undefeated in their game against the Francis Parker Lancers. This was a fun game for the Knights, as it was Homecoming.

The Knights started with a touchdown in their first drive with the ball as quarterback Tyler Buchner threw to Clay Petry for a 70-yard touchdown.

The Bishop’s Knights then went for the two-point conversion, making the score 8-0 Knights.

Buchner then ran it in himself for 35 yards. The Knights then went for another two-point conversion, which was completed, making the score 16-0, Bishop’s.

Then Buchner threw a beautiful touchdown pass to Griffin Dooley for a 45-yard touchdown.

Francis Parker then answered with a 35-yard touchdown by quarterback Gerry Alota. This made the score 24-7, Bishop’s.

Tyler Buchner then runs it in himself for a 5-yard touchdown making it 30-7 Knights.

Before the half we see #8 Sam Camposeco from Francis Parker score a 5-yard touchdown making the score 30-13 Bishops still in the lead.

After half time, Buchner struck again with a throw to Clarence Freeman for a 35-yard touchdown.

Then, Amaan Banks scored making the score 45-13, Bishop’s. To end the game, Tyler threw to Freeman for a 70-yard touchdown.


In Week 6, we see a matchup with the Francis Parker Lancers and the Bishop’s Knights. 

The Francis Parker Lancers have a record of 1-4 so far. Francis Parker had its big win over Hoover, 49-6.

The Lancers are led by coach Matt Morrison (4th year). The Lancer quarterback is senior Grevy Alota, who averages 75 passing yards per game.

Another strong Francis Parker player to look out for is freshman Chris Willams. He has scored three touchdowns this season and has a total of 213 receiving yards. 

The Bishop’s Knights are led by head coach Joel Allen. This is Coach Allen’s 11th year with the Bishop’s Knights.

The Knights have a record of 4-0 and are looking to keep their winning streak this week. They have beat La Jolla, University City, Mater Dei Catholic, and Rosamond.

A key player to look out for is quarterback Tyler Buchner. He is only a junior and has thrown for 1,257 yards and 15 touchdowns. Tyler has received 16 offers to play at the next level with offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, and Alabama. However, he has committed to the Fighting Irish.
