Week 7 North County Game of the Week: Carlsbad Lancers 42, Torrey Pines Falcons 7

For the past five years, every game between the Carlsbad Lancers and the Torrey Pines has been decided by seven points or less, with one overtime game and two games decided by three points or less. This matchup just so happens to be the North County Game of the Week in Week 7 of the Prep Pigskin Report, and it happens to be a completely different ending than years past.

Unfortunately for the Torrey Pines Falcons, this game did not come down to the wire and was not decided by seven points or less. The Carlsbad Lancers won the PPR North County Game of the week, 42-7.

The Falcons were the first to get on the board.

Marco Notarainni found the end zone from two yards out and Torrey Pines took a 7-0 lead. That would be the Falcons’ only lead of the game, and their only score of the contest.

The Lancers answered right back when Aidan Sayin found Noah Vella for a 54-yard touchdown pass and just like that the game is tied at 7-all.

Later, Sayin found Cole Wright in the end zone for a 25-yard touchdown pass and the Lancers took the lead.

That play worked out nice, as Carlsbad decided to run it twice, as Sayin went to Mr. Wright and its alright for an 18-yard touchdown and a 21-7 lead.

It was all Carlsbad the rest of the way.

Vella decided to run the ball before the half, as he went 53-yard to the end zone, showing off his speed.

It was the Aidan Sayin show the rest of the way, with the help of Noah Vella.

Sayin showed off his arm with a 67-yard bomb to Noah, then with a 21-yard pass to Dylan Quinn. The Lancers won their fifth game of the season.

Carlsbad will Travel to Oceanside to take on the Pirates, while Torrey Pines will travel to Mission Hills to take on the Grizzlies.
