Week 7 Viewing Party Game: Mission Bay Buccaneers 56, Clairemont Chieftains 13
Mission Bay High School had a Homecoming Night to remember after defeating the Clairemont Chieftains, 56-13.
Mission Bay (4-2) was led by sophomore quarterback Clash Osborn, who threw for five touchdowns.
On a night with the stands packed with students, staff, parents and alumni, Mission Bay jumped all over the Clairemont (3-2), leading 28-7 after the first quarter.
The Bucs would not let up in the second quarter, scoring another touchdown on a trick 36-yard passing touchdown play from Evan Aguon to Andrew Hutchinson to go into the half with a commanding 42-7 lead.
The third quarter was more of the same. Running back Aguon opened the second half scoring with a 72-yard touchdown run.
The final score on the night for Mission Bay came when Clash Osborn connected once again with Andrew Hutchinson on a 69-yard touchdown throw in the third quarter.
Clairemont did not go away quietly. The Chieftains scored the final touchdown of the night when quarterback Ryan Christensen connected with Jesus Coronado on a 55-yard touchdown pass to make it 56-13.
Mission Bay will travel to San Diego High next week to take on the Cavers.
Clairemont will travel to Coronado to face the Islanders.
