It was another hard-fought battle up in the North County for the North County Game of the Week between Vista and Del Norte, but after four quarters of play, the Vista Panthers came out on top, 27-20.
It was a battle between the Vista offense and the Del Norte defense, and it sure showed in the first quarter of the game.
The Nighthawks were able to stop the powerhouse running team for the Panthers and the game remained scoreless at the end of the first.

The third quarter was very similar to the first quarter, scoreless. The fourth quarter is where the game got interesting.

Later, Del Norte was trying to make a comeback but its the powerful Vista defense forced a fumble and the Panthers ended up back in the driver’s seat.
The touchdown by Flores was so nice, the Panthers decide to do it twice, this time Flores went 37 yards for the score and Vista took the 27-14 lead.
Del Norte got one more touchdown on the board, as the Nighthawk quarterback found Alex Moore one more time but it wouldn’t be enough and Vista came out on top.
