Alarm Clock Pep Rally Game of the Week: Morse Tigers/Mira Mesa Marauders: NO CONTEST

It was senior night at Mira Mesa as the Marauders hosted the Morse Tigers.

The first 20 seconds of the game Tiger Shamar Martin took the ball 55 yards for the touchdown and the early 6-0 Morse lead.

A few minutes later, Mira Mesa’s Noah Tumblin decided to take the ball in himself and may now earn himself back to back play of the week nominations to put the Marauders up 7-6.

With 5 minutes left in the 1st quarter the game was postponed for inclement weather including lightning in the sky, and they decided to call this one a no contest.

Mira Mesa will head to Madison next week, while the Morse Tigers will head to University City.

Preview: The Mira Mesa Marauders are hosting the Alarm Clock Pep Rally this week and so we will be at their nightcap against the Morse Tigers.

The Marauders under first-year head coach Chris Thompson are coming off of a 33-30 win over University City this past week and are looking to take it into this week against Morse. Their quarterback Noah Tumblin is a player to look out for and he is also a PPR Week 8 Play of the Week nominee.

A couple of other players to look out for are Albert Lemon and Marcus Dean. They look to improve their 5-2 record before heading into the final weeks of the regular season.

The Morse Tigers came off of a 14-8 loss to Christian last week and are looking to get back on the winning track to improve their 4-3 record this season. A couple of standout names on the Tigers roster are Shamar Martin and Dejon Miller.

The game will be at 7 p.m. with the full highlights on the Prep Pigskin Report at 11 p.m.
