Week 9: Montgomery Aztecs 48, San Ysidro Cougars 0
Friday evening, the San Ysidro Cougars hosted the Montgomery Aztecs as they celebrated their annual Homecoming Game.
The Cougars kicked off the game starting the Aztecs on offense.
Early in the first quarter, Alexander Dixie completed a 10-yard pass to Isiah King for a touchdown.
Later in the first quarter and after a turnover of downs, Jaheem Williams scored a 75-yard touchdown off of a punt return.
Both Dixie and Williams continued to make big plays the rest of the night.
Dixie scored a touchdown after intercepting a Cougar pass late in the first quarter.
Williams came back to score a total of four times for the Montgomery Aztecs.
San Ysidro fought hard to get into scoring position. However, the Cougars were unable to capitalize as they approached within 30 yards of the goal. Montgomery’s defense was impenetrable by the Cougars.
Ultimately, the San Ysidro Cougars were defeated by the Montgomery Aztecs, 48-0.
In Week 10, Montgomery will host a home conference game against Southwest (San Diego) and San Ysidro will be away at Castle Park for a conference game.
