Aiden Lippert went on to fumble the ball into the end zone and Brett Maryon recovered the ball in the end zone for an LCC touchdown. Giving LCC the lead, 7-0.
Then this is where the twist comes in, as a lightning and rain delay puts the game to a halt with 16 seconds left in the first quarter.
Tonight was Mission Hills’ Homecoming game. This means that there is a lot of planning and work that goes into nights like this, a halftime show, homecoming court, etc.
While the game was in question as to whether it would continue, Mission Hills decided to improvise. Mission Hills managed to pull off an amazing halftime show in the gym where everyone was taking cover from the weather.
In the end, the game was called no contest.
