Week 9: Vista Panthers 41 at Westview Wolverines 21

The Vista Panthers versus Westview Wolverines game was postponed in the second quarter with nine minutes left and Vista up 6-0 via a Desmond Taua 1-yard touchdown. It was because of lightning in the area.

The game resumed at 4 p.m. at Westview on Saturday and the Panthers won, 41-21.

The Vista Panthers (5-2) are looking to stay close in the difficult Palomar league standings as they travel to Westview (1-6) to take on the Wolverines in a Palomar league battle.

The Panthers are coming into this game after taking down the Del Norte Nighthawks 49-7. The Panthers had a field day on the ground as Desmond Taua, Brian Kelly, and Tyler Stacier each had a touchdown. Stacier had two touchdowns on two possessions totaling over a hundred yards on the ground in just those possessions alone. They’ll look to keep the ground game going as they go into this Palomar league game.

The Wolverines are coming into this game off of a loss against a good Rancho Bernardo team 34-19. The wolverines have played against good teams this season and have unluckily fallen short as they couldn’t get a win in overtime twice. Even though they are on a losing skid a win on Friday night is always in the realm of possibility as they have played these teams tough.
