Week 9 South Bay Game of the Week: Southwest Raiders 44, San Ysidro Cougars 3

After the game was postponed on Friday night after many minutes of play, the teams resumed the game on Saturday with Southwest coming out on top.

The Week 9 South Bay Game of the Week features the San Ysidro Cougars (0-7) hosting the Southwest Raiders (3-4).

The Cougars are coached by Keith Aguan who is in his first year – and a tough one at that – as his team has racked up only four touchdowns compared to 29 touchdowns for the Raiders.

Josue Suarez has recorded the most offensive yardage while Josef Bielma leads the team in tackles.

On the front line, the Cougars have two 300-plus pounders.

The Raiders are coached by Paco Silva, who is in his fourth year. He has the benefit of 11 returning lettermen who last year led the team to a second-place league finish.

After six games, Daniel Belton has racked up the most offensive yards courtesy of his build, as in 6-feet-11, 215 pounds.

When it comes to the passing game, the Raiders own the skies.

Quarterback Aaron Hidalgo is averaging over 150 passing yards per game. In comparison, Cougar quarterback Marcus Bowman is averaging 22 passing yards per game.
