West Hills 34, Valley Center 20

The Wolf pack from West Hills’ high school swindled past the Valley Center Jaguars on Friday. The Wolf pack continues their 2 game winning streak putting them 3-2 as they go into week 6. As expected senior running back Jacob Shaw came up big for West Hills. Within the first few minutes of the 1st quarter Shaw scored a touchdown with a quick 11 yard run. Shaw didn’t stop there he went on to score twice more before our 3rd quarter departure. Also putting up points for the Wolf pack was Alfonso Gregg who had a nice 7 yard touchdown run. West hills went on to score once more in the 4th quarter, securing their victory 34-20. The Wolf pack will host Valhalla in their final non-conference game of the season.

The Valley center Jaguars came up short this past Friday, putting their record at 2-3 heading into week 6. The Jaguars struggled with their passing majority of the game; however when the opportunity presented itself the Jaguars capitalized on the errors of West Hills’ defense. Junior Jacob Newman and Senior Dustin Dendy were the two that kept the Jaguars alive. Newman and Dendy combined for a total of 285 yards and 1 touchdown. The Valley Center Jaguars will face the Golden Eagles of San Pasqual in their 1st league game of the 2014 season.
