West Shores Wildcats 28, Warner Wildcats 22
The week 6 matchup between the West Shores Wildcats and the Warner Wildcats delivered an excellent game of 8-man football on Friday afternoon.
In the first quarter, Warner quarterback Elijah Hall took the QB keeper in from 7 yards out to put the Wildcats up 8-o after the 2-point conversion was successful.
In the second quarter, West Shores got their first points on the board from a Dylan Sundahl 4-yard run and with the 2-point conversion being successful, they knotted up the score.
Warner responded with a 7-yard run from Hall to take the 14-8 lead after the 2-point conversion was no good.
West Shores’ Sundahl took in his second rushing touchdown of the day from 25 yards out as West Shores tied up the game 14-14 at the half.
In the second half, West Shores’ Isiah Lopez found Dylan Sundahl on a bubble screen and Sundahl did the rest as he took it 79-yards for the touchdown to make it 20-14, West Shores.
The West Shores Wildcats responded right back after that long touchdown as Sundahl took the handoff from Lopez for the 94-yard long touchdown run to put the Wildcats up 28-14.
In the fourth quarter, Warner’s Hall pump-faked and found Blake Pena for a 70-yard touchdown pass. However, it would not be enough as West Shores sneaked away with this one, 28-22.
The West Shores Wildcats improve their record to 2-3 and look forward to taking on Julian at home next Friday.
The Warner Wildcats drop to 2-4 and look to rebound next week against Rock Academy at Rock Academy.
