Wet weather for San Diego
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A cold low pressure system moving southward along the west coast brought scattered showers to San Diego County early Friday, along with snow in higher elevations.
According to the National Weather Service, several inches of snow were likely in the mountains through this evening, with the snow level as low as 3,500 feet.
The Weather Service also advised that there was a slight chance of thunderstorms today as the coldest mid-level air moves across Southern California.
Rainfall totals from the storm were expected to be from up to a half- inch at the coast to about an inch on coastal mountains slopes.
A winter weather advisory in effect for the mountains was scheduled to expire at 6 p.m.
