Advice on how to stay secure while using free public WiFi

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Free public WiFi is like free public bathrooms. Weʼre grateful for them in a bind but donʼt we prefer the privacy of home?

Hackers can set up a virtual hot spot labeled the same name as the airport WiFi and grab user names and emails. Those can then be used to access bank info, social media accounts, etc..

YouTube brand strategist Owen Video joined KUSI News to discuss this problem and how you can protect yourself.
