Wednesday, July 17, 2013 – Put another one in the win column for KUSI's Michael Turko and a brand new city councilman. Turko says fast action got a serious environmental threat corrected in just a few days. 

     Moving north to Escondido, Turko obtained new information on the battle over the old Escondido Country Club. Neighbors are trying to preserve the golf course there as open space but developers want to turn it into a subdivision. They bought the land but neighbors say a deal between the original developer and the city could save the day!
