Woman hospitalized after skinny jeans damaged leg nerves

AUSTRALIA (KUSI) – A 35-year-old Australian woman was hospitalized after her legs went numb because her skinny jeans were too tight.

The woman was helping a family member move, which involved bending, lifting and squatting.

While she was walking home, her legs felt numb and she was unable to walk.

The woman’s legs were so swollen that the hospital staff had to cut off her jeans.

Doctors were able to determine that her jeans were so tight, they had damaged the muscles and nerves in her legs and could have led to permanent damage and even amputation.

Fortunately, the woman fully recovered and left the hospital a few days later.
