Woman hospitalized after stepping in front of vehicle in Oak Park

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Thursday night at College Ave. and Streamview Drive.

A 60-year-old woman was standing on the median between the northbound and southbound lanes when she stepped in front of a vehicle around 8 p.m.

She suffered an open fracture to her right tibia/fibula and a closed fracture to her left tibia/fibula.

She was taken to Mercy Hospital and is expected to recover.

The driver, who is in his 20’s was not cited.

The San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.
