Woman in custody for allegedly shoplifting and threatening guard with scissors
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A woman accused of shoplifting in Logan Heights by threatening a security guard with a pair of scissors is in custody Thursday.
Tangie Jones, 33, allegedly stole several items from the Walmart in the 2100 block of Imperial Avenue shortly before 9:30 a.m.
According to San Diego police, Jones brandished a pair of scissors in a menacing manner when the guard confronted her as she was leaving.
Patrol officers investigating the crime found Jones a few blocks away and took her into custody, Sgt. Ray Battrick said.
She was expected to be booked into county jail on suspicion of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon, he said.
