Woman stabbed during home invasion robbery
IMPERIAL BEACH (CNS) – A search was under way Thursday for two men and a
woman wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery in Imperial Beach that
sent a woman to the hospital with multiple stab wounds, authorities said.
The robbers knocked on the door of the residence in the 200 block of
Dahlia Avenue shortly before midnight and forced their way in after someone
inside answered, San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Maria Wood said. Inside were a
husband and wife, a third adult roommate and a child, she said.
During an ensuing fight between the robbers and the adult residents, the
wife was stabbed, Wood said. According to sheriff's Detective Howard Kluge,
the woman was stabbed twice in the back and taken to UCSD Medical Center with
non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects were armed with knives and a handgun, he said.
The robbers made off with a laptop computer, Wood said.
