Woman injured in Vista scooter crash

VISTA (CNS) – A 19-year-old woman who was found unconscious on a Vista roadway early Friday apparently injured herself when she crashed a motor scooter, authorities said.

The injured woman was found in the 500 block of Hacienda Drive shortly before 1:30 a.m., according to San Diego County sheriff’s Sgt. Dwain Washington.

“She appeared to have been involved in a solo vehicle collision while riding a motor scooter,” he said in a statement.

Paramedics took her to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. The extent of her injuries was not immediately released.
