Woman is suing the City of Carlsbad after incident with police
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A Los Angeles woman said she was assaulted by Carlsbad Police and is now suing the city.
Cindy Hahn says it happened after she and her two kids were pulled over for a seat belt violation. Hahn was originally charged with battery and resisting arrest, but those charges were dropped.
Hahn’s attorney was filing a federal lawsuit against the city, he says apparently the City of Carlsbad thinks this is appropriate behavior because when he showed them the tape they just doubled down on it. The City of Carlsbad Police Department issued the following statement:
The City of Carlsbad looks forward to bringing this lawsuit before the proper judicial authorities as soon as possible. We are prepared to provide a complete and detailed account of the facts of this incident in a courtroom, not in the media.
