Woman killed in El Cajon crash

EL CAJON (CNS) – A woman was killed and another injured Friday in a two-vehicle crash in El Cajon, authorities said.

The crash at intersection of East Washington and South Mollison avenues
was reported about 6:25 a.m., El Cajon public information officer Monica Zech
said.

Zech said two sedan-sized vehicles were involved in the “T-bone type
collision.”

One of the cars was left on its side following the crash, according to
Zech. The driver of that car was killed, she said.

The other driver was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, Zech said.

The intersection was closed for the investigation into the collision,
Zech said.

Chase Avenue or Main Street were recommended as alternate routes for
motorists headed east or west in the area, and northbound or southbound drivers
were advised to take Avocado Avenue or Anza Street, Zech said.
