Woman seriously injured after being hit by a car
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A 58-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle in the Bay Ho neighborhood of San Diego tonight and suffered serious injuries.
A 2016 Honda was traveling eastbound in the No. 2 lane of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard near Pocahontas Avenue about 5:45 p.m. when the vehicle in front of it swerved into the No. 1 lane and the Honda driver noticed a woman standing in the street, according to San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims.
The driver attempted to move around the woman, but struck the pedestrian, Heims said.
The victim suffered a fractured pelvis, fractured right leg and a head injury, Heims said. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, Heims said.
