Woman sexually assaulted at City Heights bus stop
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A man abducted a woman at a City Heights bus stop today, then drove her to a secluded spot and sexually assaulted her, authorities reported.
The assailant confronted the 35-year-old victim in the 3600 block of
University Avenue about 4:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.
After making a failed attempt to rob the woman, the man forced her into
a vehicle parked in a nearby alley. He then drove her to another location and
assaulted her before letting her go, police said.
The victim described the attacker as a heavyset, roughly 6-foot man who
appeared to be in his mid-30s. He was driving a light-colored SUV, possibly a
Jeep Cherokee.
