Woman sexually assaulted in Oceanside home
OCEANSIDE (CNS) – A man sneaked into a 48-year-old woman’s Oceanside home early Wednesday and sexually assaulted her but fled when her screams woke her adult son, a police sergeant said.
The woman awoke to find the suspect inside the home in the 200 block of Surfrider Way near North Pacific Street around 2:40 a.m., according to Oceanside police Sgt. Josh Morris. He got in through an unlocked door.
The intruder ran out the front door after the resident began screaming, Morris said.
Police described the suspect as possibly of mixed race, in his 30s and thin. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts and a black hat.
