Woman struck by several cars identified

CHULA VISTA (CNS) – The pedestrian who died after being struck by several vehicles on a South Bay freeway was publicly identified Thursday as a 61-year-old Chula Vista woman.

Denise Marilyn Krausch was walking in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the J Street undercrossing when she was struck by four vehicles around 10:45 p.m. Monday, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office and the California Highway Patrol.

She died at the scene from multiple blunt force injuries, officials with the Medical Examiner’s Office said. No other injuries were reported.
