Yahoo users hit by data breaches could receive cash or credit monitoring
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – If you had a Yahoo! account between 2012 and 2016, you could be eligible for free credit monitoring or a cash payment.
Yahoo! has had a series of data breaches, which released the personal information of more than three billion account holders.
The company has now agreed to $117 million settlement. However, customers must prove they were impacted.
Eva Velasquez, President/CEO of Identity Theft Resource Center, was at KUSI to talk about the settlement.
